Marie Smith
Marie has over 25 years’ experience in the ceramic industry, having graduated from the University of Sunderland in 1996 with a degree in Glass and Ceramics.

She co-founded Smith & Jennings Pottery alongside her husband, Simon, in 2013. Marie’s area of expertise is ceramic glazing and design, and she has created many of the beautiful colourways featured across our Smith & Jennings glazed collections.
​
Outside of the pottery, Marie enjoys horse riding and, of course, gardening. Some of her favourite plants include acers, honeysuckle, and roses, and she is always happy to offer advice to customers on choosing the perfect plants for their new pots.
